Sump pumps are typically located in a closet or corner and often remain invisible beneath a basin cover. One day they will fail, it's not a matter of if but a matter of when. Even the best pumps will eventually fail; the difference between knowing and not knowing your pump failed is a flooded basement.
You can protect yourself with a FloodProtext high-water alarm, which uses your existing WiFi service to send text and email alerts when it detects that the water level has risen high enough to become a threat to your basement.
The WIFI module wirelessly connects to your existing service, using sensors, the FloodProtext module monitors the water level in your sump basin 24/7. Whenever it detects high water, it will send an email and text alert notification to up to 4 users. It is easy to install and operates using only batteries, so it does not require an additional outlet.
SumpTek's solid state sensors are responsible for detecting a high water level in your basin. They have no moving parts or pieces to get hung up or fail, unlike a traditional mechanical float switch. These sensors last 10x longer and are proven for reliable operation year after year.
The FloodProtext installs in three steps. No usernames, passwords, or tools are required. You simply connect the system to your home Wi-Fi, snap the sensors onto the pipe, then snap the module onto the pipe—that's it.
The FloodProtext uses battery power to send alerts, it will work even when the power is out in your home, but wifi is available. We offer a secondary power source for your wifi router; they are inexpensive and will keep your service running when the power is out.
Text messages can be customized to include a direct link to your service provider or a specific address or basin location if you have multiple units. You can include up to three phone numbers and an emails in each alart sent.
